3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and secure your account
- Research ideas you submit and generate reports, scores, and startup drafts
- Save reports and context so you can reopen and refine them
- Run missions, streaks, and progress features
- Send push notifications and optional email digests you opt into
- Process subscriptions and enforce plan limits
- Measure which onboarding and paywall flows help people finish what they start
- Provide data export and account deletion
- Detect abuse and keep the Service reliable
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Contract — to provide the account, research, and features you request
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and understand product usage in a proportionate way
- Consent — for optional push notifications, and for tracking on iOS when the system asks you
- Legal obligation — where we must keep or disclose information
You can withdraw consent for notifications in the app or device settings, and for tracking in iOS settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to run FounderOS:
| Party | Why |
|---|---|
| Hosting and infrastructure for the API | Store accounts, ideas, reports, and files |
| Optional sign-in | |
| Apple App Store and Google Play | Distribute the app and process purchases |
| RevenueCat | Subscription status and entitlements |
| OneSignal | Push notifications |
| Layers | Product analytics and experiments, including iOS App Tracking Transparency where shown |
| AI and research providers | Generate reports and drafts from your ideas and collected sources |
These providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect users, the Service, or our rights.
6. Photos, microphone, and tracking
- Photos: used only when you choose images to scan idea notes. You can deny photo access in system settings.
- Microphone: used only if you start a voice capture feature. You can deny microphone access in system settings.
- Tracking: on iOS we may ask permission to measure which paywall and onboarding experiments help founders finish what they start. You can refuse. The core research features do not require tracking permission.
7. How long we keep information
We keep account and content data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with it, except where we must keep a limited record for security, fraud prevention, or legal claims.
Server logs and backup copies may persist for a short period before they expire.
8. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Update your display name in the app
- Turn notifications and email digests on or off in settings
- Export your data in Settings → Privacy
- Delete your account in Settings → Privacy by confirming your email
You may also email khepricoder@gmail.com to:
- Request a copy of your personal information
- Request correction
- Request deletion of your account and associated information
- Object to or restrict certain processing, where the law gives you that right
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Include the email address on your FounderOS account so we can find the right record. We may need to verify that the request comes from you.
9. Security
We use access controls, hashed passwords, and encrypted transport (HTTPS) to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
10. International transfers
The Service is operated online and data may be processed outside your country. By using FounderOS you understand that your information may be transferred to those locations, with the safeguards described above.
